The work behind it
Recognition is pleasant, but it is a by-product. What it actually reflects is a few hundred unremarkable days: a boiler brought back on a January morning, a rooftop unit caught on a maintenance visit before it failed in July, a backflow assembly tested and filed on time.
Most of that work falls into two buckets. Commercial plumbing and HVAC serves the facility side — hospitals, schools, offices, and plants, where a failure is a business interruption and the fix has to be scheduled around the building’s use. Residential plumbing and HVAC is the other half, and it is the older half: houses across Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, and Sandusky counties, often the same houses for decades.
